Made with pristine craftsmanship in the Kouchi Prefecture in Japan, products by Monnaca are worth every penny. All of their products ranging from briefcases and purses to chairs and tables are made from thinned Japanese cedar wood from the Umaji Village. So sleek, there’s nothing you want to do more than just rub your fingers on it all day–watch it, buddy. They’re a tad bit exorbitant, but so is that Macbook Pro you’re on right now, is it not? So go on, take a gander.

N’Sync Called…They Want Their Hair Back
Listen, we all know you had mad skillz at Sega Genesis when you were a kid, but to actually bring your skills and look like Sonic the Hedgehog on the golf course might be pushing it, bucko. But hey, if you insist on wearing fake hair and expect to get away with it, you can get your own right here.

These Are The Jeans
That I’ve been dreaming of ever since I was a little girl..Ok I’ll stop singing Black Kids. But how often do you come across a pair like these? They are by Grey Ant particularly noted for their line of high-waisted jeans. This design is called Weave and is available at Grasshopper. It’s called Weave because of its super dark wash and the gradient of denim weaved for pockets. If you take a look at the back, there is circular stitching giving you some of that bandunk.
Grasshopper is at 727 Walnut Street 215 925-3959

A Phashion Event of Our Own

The creators of Fashion Voyage: Veronica Paige and Kelly Louise
So you’re super bummed that you didn’t get an invite to Mercedes Fashion Week. Don’t fret. It’s only twice a year and über pretentious. But thanks to the master minds of Veronica Paige and Kelly Louise, Philadelphia has it’s own fashion event for every echelon. It’s called Fashion Voyage and it’s held every first Wednesday of the month at La Bourse in Sofitel Hotel! Both of these fine young ladies are fashion designers, Veronica designs adorable eco-friendly dresses while Kelly creates eclectic jewelry for both guys and gals. According to Veronica, she wanted to create Fashion Voyage for Philadelphia because New York’s fashion events are, “way too in-city.” And yea–we couldn’t agree more.
Fashion Voyage features both Philly based and guest designers from around the world. All of whom are quite fabulous in their own right. This month’s designers featured are Edgar Bacai and Jae Yoon of Bacai Boutique, Clara B. (designs so rad, it makes you want to snap yo fingas n’ say Feirce!) Cili ( loaded bling that’ll make your friends jealous) and our “Big Bad Wolf” friend Nicole Haddad of Lobo Mau.
So don’t miss out! The next Fashion Voyage will be on April 1 at 5pm at La Bourse at Sofitel, 120 S. 17th Street
You can get Lobo Mau and Jae Yoon at Bacai Boutique 4228 Main Street, 215-525-9244
And check out more of Nicole’s stuff at Omoi, located on 1608 Pine Street, 215-545-0963

But you can be secretly aware of your style by looking up to his best friend, Skeeter Valentine. You see, Skeeter has this self-awareness that reveals hipness, but isn’t so much of an over kill–that’s where Roger Klotz comes into play. Skeeter rocks his skateboard (which always seems to make a comeback every five years), orange knee pads on yellow pants, and his unforgettable two-honk greeting he composed himself (“composed” being the key word). His t-shirt makes it evident that he’s got it all figured out. That bright yellow lightning bolt suggests that he’s keen on his fashion-sense. The screaming orange shows he’s independent on his palette choices. But above all, Mr. Valentine’s got the personality of a high-spirit kind of guy, affable to everybody. And not to sound all Danny Tanner, it’s personality that is effortless. So in this post-90′s generation, be Skeeter-esque and get your own shirt
